Endospheres vs. Manual Lymphatic Drainage: How They Differ
Both support lymphatic flow — they just get there differently. A clear look at how Endospheres compares to hands-on manual technique, and how to choose.
Search for lymphatic drainage and you’ll find two very different things under the same name: a hands-on method performed by a certified practitioner, and Endospheres. They share a goal — supporting lymphatic flow — but they get there in different ways. Here’s how they compare.
What manual lymphatic drainage is
Manual lymphatic drainage is a hands-on method with a long history. A trained practitioner works through a sequence of light, rhythmic movements that follow the direction of lymphatic flow. It’s meticulous, personal, and entirely dependent on the practitioner’s hands — their pressure, their pacing, their read of your body that day.
It’s a well-established approach, and for anyone who wants bespoke hands-on work, it’s the right call. It isn’t what we do. REVIKA offers Endospheres.
What Endospheres does differently
Endospheres uses a device with 55 rotating silicone spheres to deliver compressive microvibration across the skin and the tissue beneath it. A REVIKA specialist guides the device over the target area, and the spheres do the work — at a consistent rhythm and pressure, across a whole zone rather than one point at a time.
A full body session runs about 60 minutes. Facial sessions are around 45.
Where they actually differ
Consistency. Hands vary — between practitioners, between sessions, between the first and the fiftieth minute. The device delivers the same rhythm and pressure throughout.
Coverage. Endospheres works across a whole area in a single pass, which is how a full body zone fits comfortably into an hour.
What it’s for. Manual technique is focused on lymphatic flow. Endospheres supports that flow and works the tissue itself — which is where the smoother look of cellulite and the firmer, more toned finish come from.
What you feel. Most clients describe a rhythmic, compressive sensation they find deeply relaxing. No needles, no heat, no downtime.
Which one is right for you
If you want individualized hands-on work, find a certified practitioner — that’s their craft, not ours.
If you want consistent, repeatable stimulation that also sculpts and firms the appearance of the skin, Endospheres is built for it. Most clients notice visible improvement in firmness and contour over a course of 6 to 12 sessions, often two a week early on. Results vary.
Plenty of clients book their first session for the lighter, less puffy feeling after travel or training — then stay for the contour. You’ll find us in Newport Beach, Dana Point, Encinitas, and La Jolla.
